BUT WHAT IS THE UNIFYING THEME AMONG DARK TRAITS?

Creative concept of 'DARK-CORE SCALE' compilation, a debut release of Prague-based collective UNIZONE which also hosts an eponymous party series and a radio show, represents the fascination with the dark corners of human mind. Collaboration of fifteen producers, curated by UNIZONE soulmates and club-night-ex-guests from all around the world, brings together a wide spectrum of dark club aesthetics, ranging from rave-influenced bangers and nervous rhythms to experimental deconstruction and nightmarish sound design. The process of interpreting 'dark-core' theme has not only negative, but rather deliberating and sometimes even calming effect. Or, using a hyperbole, 'DARK-CORE SCALE' could be described as a 'reversed industrial music' – as a collaborative release of producers using external tools and sounds for self-exploration.
